Cohort/Segment

Slice GTM data into cohorts and segments — by acquisition month, deal size, industry, region — and see how the cohorts perform over time.

Cohort/Segment is the analytical surface that lets you ask "how did the customers we acquired in Q2 do compared to Q3?" or "are SaaS-50–250-EMEA accounts retaining better than Enterprise-1000+-NA?". The two dimensions can be combined freely.

Dimensions

  • Cohort — usually time-based (acquisition month or quarter), but can also be pipeline-entry or first-touch cohorts.
  • Segment — pre-built segments configured in App Settings → Segments (industry, size, region, source, custom).

Common analyses

  • Net retention by acquisition cohort (are recent cohorts holding up?).
  • Expansion rate by segment (which segments grow fastest?).
  • Time-to-first-renewal by segment (which segments stick the longest?).
  • Churn rate by deal-size band (small deals churn first?).
