Manually uploading leads

Upload a CSV of leads when they don't live in your CRM yet — for one-off lists, event attendees, or scraped prospect data.

When the leads you want to reach aren't yet in your CRM, pitch bont supports a CSV upload as the source for a lead list.

Open the upload flow

Lead Lists → + New list → Upload CSV.

CSV format

Required columns: email plus at least one of first_name, last_name. Optional but recommended: company, title, linkedin_url, phone, and any custom fields you want personalised templates to reference.

Column headers are case-insensitive and accept common variants (Email, email_address, Email Address). Map column-to-field in the next screen if pitch bont can't guess.

Upload and map

  1. Drag the CSV into the upload box, or click to pick.
  2. Review the column mapping pitch bont auto-detected. Adjust any that look wrong.
  3. Click Import. pitch bont validates emails, deduplicates against existing CRM contacts, and creates the list.

What happens to the leads

  • New leads — created as CRM contacts under a "Pitch Imports" source so you can find them later.
  • Existing leads — matched by email and added to the list without duplicating the CRM record.

Tips

  • Clean before uploading — pitch bont rejects malformed emails. A scrubbed CSV uploads cleanly.
  • 10k row limit per file — split larger lists into multiple uploads.
