Manually uploading leads
Upload a CSV of leads when they don't live in your CRM yet — for one-off lists, event attendees, or scraped prospect data.
When the leads you want to reach aren't yet in your CRM, pitch bont supports a CSV upload as the source for a lead list.
Open the upload flow
Lead Lists → + New list → Upload CSV.
CSV format
Required columns: email plus at least one of first_name,
last_name. Optional but recommended: company, title,
linkedin_url, phone, and any custom fields you want personalised
templates to reference.
Column headers are case-insensitive and accept common variants (Email,
email_address, Email Address). Map column-to-field in the next screen
if pitch bont can't guess.
Upload and map
- Drag the CSV into the upload box, or click to pick.
- Review the column mapping pitch bont auto-detected. Adjust any that look wrong.
- Click Import. pitch bont validates emails, deduplicates against existing CRM contacts, and creates the list.
What happens to the leads
- New leads — created as CRM contacts under a "Pitch Imports" source so you can find them later.
- Existing leads — matched by email and added to the list without duplicating the CRM record.
Tips
- Clean before uploading — pitch bont rejects malformed emails. A scrubbed CSV uploads cleanly.
- 10k row limit per file — split larger lists into multiple uploads.
