CAC configuration
Tell funky bont how to compute CAC — which spend feeds the numerator (marketing, sales salaries, tooling) and which deals feed the denominator.
CAC is only as good as its inputs. The CAC configuration page is where you define what counts as "spend" and what counts as "new customer" so the CAC dashboard matches the rest of the business.

In funky bont, Settings → App Settings → CAC configuration.
Numerator: what counts as spend
- Marketing spend — ad budgets, content, events. Pulled from the marketing integration if connected; otherwise entered manually per period.
- Sales salaries — fully-loaded sales-team comp. Configurable per role / per rep.
- Tooling — pitch bont, Sales Navigator, prospecting tools, the CRM itself.
- Other — partner referral fees, contractor costs, anything else you want in blended CAC.
Denominator: what counts as a customer
- Closed-won definition — usually first paid contract; sometimes first activation. Configure which stage transition counts.
- Excluded segments — pilot deals, internal accounts and friends-and-family closes can be excluded so they don't artificially shrink CAC.
Tips
- Start consistent, refine later — pick a definition and stick to it for at least a year. Changing inputs mid-stream makes year-over-year comparison meaningless.
- Audit quarterly — spend categories drift; check that the configuration still reflects how the business spends money.
