New-business vs. existing-business views
How funky bont's pipeline and GTM views toggle between new-business and existing-business motion — distinct stages, distinct metrics.
funky bont's pipeline and GTM views ship with a New / Existing toggle in the header. The toggle applies to every widget on the page so totals, conversion rates and account-level metrics stay motion-consistent.
What changes when you toggle
- Stages on the board — new-business uses the acquisition stage list (Lead → SQL → Demo → Proposal → Close). Existing-business uses the expansion / renewal list (Renewal Pending → Upsell Discussed → Signed → Live).
- Active deal counts — only deals tagged for the selected motion.
- Pipeline totals — value and weighted-value summed for the selected motion.
- Probability defaults — stage probabilities differ between motions (existing business typically converts at higher rates).
How a deal lands in one motion or the other
funky bont reads the new-vs-existing classification from base bont's data — same definition pure bont uses (see pure bont's New-business vs. existing-business deals). An account with at least one closed-won deal in history is existing; otherwise new.
