Launching, pausing, and editing a campaign
Move a draft campaign live, pause it without losing state, and edit steps safely while leads are mid-sequence.
Once a campaign is drafted (see Creating a campaign), the three states it can move through are Live, Paused and Archived.
Launching
From the campaign detail page, click Launch. pitch bont validates that the sender, lead list and sequence are all set, then enqueues the first step for each lead based on the schedule. Leads enter the sequence in batches respecting your sending limits.
Pausing
Click Pause. pitch bont stops scheduling new steps but keeps the current state of each lead in memory. Replies and bounces still flow into the pitch inbox. Unpause and the sequence resumes where it left off.
Editing while live
- Edit text — safe; the new text applies to steps not yet sent.
- Add a step — safe; leads currently on step N continue to step N+1 as defined.
- Delete a step — leads sitting on the deleted step skip to the next one. pitch bont warns you in the dialog.
- Reorder steps — risky mid-flight. The campaign will pause itself if the reorder would cause leads to repeat or skip content; clean up and relaunch.
Archiving
Use Archive when a campaign is permanently done. Archived campaigns hide from the default list but their metrics stay in reporting.
