Segments
Define account and deal segments — by industry, size, region, source, custom field — so other parts of funky bont can slice analytics and targets by them.
Segments are named slices of your customer base. Once defined here, every other funky bont surface that takes a Segment filter pulls from this list — Insights, Cohort/Segment, Targets, Existing-Accounts, CAC.

Defining a segment
- Click + New Segment.
- Give it a clear name (e.g. "EMEA Mid-Market SaaS").
- Define the filter — usually a combination of industry, company size band, region and optional custom fields.
- Preview matching accounts to sanity-check the filter.
- Save.
Tips
- Coarse beats fine — a handful of strategic segments beats dozens of overly specific ones. Each segment should be big enough to matter.
- Non-overlapping where possible — segments that overlap create double-counting confusion in reports.
- Review yearly — segments that made sense a year ago may not fit the current motion.
