Building a custom report

Use base bont's Report Designer to build your own report from CRM data — pick the object, the visualisation, the metrics and the filters.

base bont's Reporting area holds two kinds of report: a set of ready-made Standard reports, and the Report Designer, where you assemble a report yourself from your own CRM data.

Open it

In base bont, click Reporting in the left navigation. The page opens on the Report Designer; the tabs at the top switch between it and Standard reports.

Start from a standard report

Standard reports is a searchable list of ready-made reports covering the pipeline, activity and contact basics:

Pipeline by stage, Open deals by owner, Top open deals by value and Win rate by source.
Won value over time and Created vs won this quarter.
Activities by sales manager (this week) and Activity volume over time by type.
New contacts over time and Organizations without an open deal.

Open one to view it, or choose Build a custom report to jump straight into the designer with the same starting point.

Build your own

Pick the Base object — deals, companies, contacts or activities.
Choose how to show it under Output configuration: Table, Bar, Line or KPI.
Fill in the view: Group by and Metrics for charts and KPIs, Columns for tables, and Sort by for the order.
Add filters with Add condition; use Add group when you need grouped logic, and Filter this metric to narrow a single metric.

Use Add metric, Add column and Add group to add more than one measure, column or breakdown to the same report.

Reading the preview

The preview updates as you configure the report. No records match this report means your filters exclude everything — loosen a condition or remove a group. Table output shows the first 100 records only, so narrow the report with filters rather than scrolling.

Who can use it

Reporting is available to workspace Owners and Admins by default. Custom roles control it through the Custom reports capability — see Roles and access.
