Viewing linked contacts and deals

How linked records work on a company profile — where contacts and deals tied to an organisation surface, and how to navigate between them.

Every contact in base bont belongs to a company (optionally — solo contacts exist too), and every deal belongs to a company. The company profile is the join point: open one and you can see everyone and every deal tied to it.

From a company profile

Open the company (see Opening an organization profile). Linked records show up in two places:

Activities timeline

The left column lists every activity bont has on file for any contact or deal tied to the company — emails, calls, meetings, notes. So opening a company gives you the full conversation history with the account in one place, not just the company-level activities.

Sidebar cards

  • Primary Contact — the contact flagged as primary. Click to jump to their profile.
  • Contacts list (in the company sidebar) — every contact whose Company field points at this company. Click a row to navigate.
  • Deals list (in the company sidebar) — every deal with this company in the Organization field. The badge shows the deal stage; the number shows deal value.
  • Child Companies — subsidiaries; click one to navigate down the hierarchy.

From a contact profile, going up

On any contact profile, the sidebar shows the contact's company under Details. Click the company name to jump to the org profile and see the broader account context.

From a deal sheet, going sideways

The deal sheet's right sidebar lists both the linked Organization and the Signing Contacts. Click either to navigate. See Opening the deal sheet for the full deal view.

Reassigning a link

If a contact ended up on the wrong company:

  1. Open the contact's profile.
  2. Inline-edit the Company field in the sidebar.
  3. Pick the correct company from the dropdown. Activity history follows the contact, so the company-level activity list updates automatically.
