1. Start the Outlook Integration

  1. Go to Settings ⚙️ → Integrations.

  2. Find Microsoft Outlook and click “Configure”.

2. Enable at the Organization Level

An alert will pop up explaining access requirements:

“This integration requests each of your organisation members to sign in via their organisation Microsoft accounts. Once they approve bont to connect to their Microsoft accounts, we will use account-related email and calendar data as communication signals.”

  • Click “Enable” to allow bont.ai access across your workspace.

3. Individual User Authorization

After enabling, each user will be prompted on their next login to:

  1. Choose an Account
    – Select your organisation Microsoft account (or click “Use another account”).

  2. Review Permissions
    bont.ai will request access to:

    • 📧 Read your mail (Mail.Read)

    • 📅 Read your calendars (Calendars.Read)

  3. Click “Accept”
    – Grant bont.ai permission by clicking “Accept” to finalize the connection.

📅 Emails & Calendar Events: Emails and calendar events from the past 90 days are synced automatically. In some cases, if you have too many emails, it's possible that only the past 60 or 30 days can by synced.

Pro Tips & Troubleshooting 🛠️

  • Prompt Didn’t Appear? Ask users to sign out and back in to trigger the authorization flow.

  • Admin Consent: If users can’t approve, a Global Admin must pre-consent in Azure AD > Enterprise Applications > bont.ai > Permissions.

  • Revoke/Update: To change scopes, disconnect under Integrations → Configure → Disconnect, then repeat Configure → Enable.
